THE SCOTS AT WAR TRUST

The Scots at War Trust is a charity registered in Scotland with OSCR. The Trustees raise funds for the Scots at War Project.

“Scots” is interpreted in its widest sense. The Trust concerns itself with native Scots, those of Scots heritage, men and women who served in Scottish or Commonwealth Scottish units and those who served in Scotland, or in Scottish waters, during the 20th and 21st centuries.

KEY AIMS

The aims of the Scots at War Project are

  • To advance research
  • To collate information
  • To make available to members  of the public of all ages the history of Scots at War

The Trustees are not collecting artefacts, medals, papers etc., but will advise as to where these items might be suitably deposited and, if required, broker the deposit arrangements.

The Research Director welcomes invitations to speak to your club, society or college or school on a subject related to Scots at War.

RESOURCES

  • www.scotsatwar.co.uk  The Scots at War web site is designed to help you find information on the subject of Scots at War. The site has been redesigned and relaunched in digest format with useful and fascinating information. New entries are added each month. If you need further help please contact the Research Director.

  • Commemorative Roll of Honour. The web site includes a Commemorative Roll which allows readers to send us details of individuals whom they think should be honoured for their service to their country. Those nominated could be from the armed services, or a civilian service or occupation, and it is not restricted to those who died during their service.
